A Look Into Troy's Imagination

Troy wrote a story yesterday, so I thought I would share it with you.

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Troy. He loved dinosaurs! One day, Troy found a dinosaur. It was a spike-tailed Stegosaurus! It was a bad, bad meateater who liked to eat the good Stegosaurus'. That was his lunch. So he ran as fast as he could into the bushes until he found one. He crashed his tail onto the good Stegosaurus and then he died.

The bad Stegosaurus walked away and saw a big, big T-Rex. The T-Rex took him to Dr. Spike, who loved Stegosaurus'. He took his temperature, but he didn't wake up. When he got some celery, he woke up! The T-Rex and the Stegosaurus became friends and walked away to their home.

Troy walked to the dinosaur island, but did not see any dinosaurs. Then he tip-toed through the bushes and found the dinosaurs. A big silver engine whooshed past them suddenly. His name was Spencer! Spencer saw the dinosaurs also and hid behind the bushes they could not see him. He yelled to Troy, " Climb on board, I will save you from the dinosaurs! " Troy responded, "No! No! They are my friends!" Then Spencer whoosed away.

THE END

Troy was very dramatic when he was telling me, and I found it very hard to keep up with him while writing. He did a great job though, combining his two favorite things - Trains and Dinosaurs.

HOCKEY - MINNESOTA WILD!!

A friend of mine gave me her club seats for the NHL Hockey game the other night. Matt was in town, so we were fortunate to be able to use them! We invited some familiar faces. Minnesota scored early, so it wasn't an extremely exciting game. However, Matt and I had not been to a Wild game since we have moved here, so it was fun to be in new surroundings. The Excel Center is much nicer than Mellon Arena, in Pittsburgh.
So, it was a good night out with the boys!

Homework and Sticker Charts

For the past few weeks the kids have been doing various chores to get certain toys that they have been wanting. This worked really well to potty train Troy and it seems to be working now.
As you can see, Troy has various things he needs to do to get stickers. These include doing his homework, eating his dinner, listening, etc. Emma does not have as many just yet, but we have really been working on the potty training, so that one has been the most important. In fact today Emma received her last sticker for going potty. So, she and Troy are now watching the Dora DVD she just won! She is doing really well on the potty, so here is hoping no more accidents!
Both kids are doing great with each of their tasks and we just hope it sticks now!
