The Mehlbrech's are moving!!

Yes, the Mehlbrech's are moving. Where? Think of the coldest place on earth and you are pretty close. Yes, I am talking about Minneapolis, Minnesota. The land of a million lakes. Matt received a great job opportunity within his company and we will be much closer to his family. Therefore, we decided to take the plunge. It will take me awhile to come to grips with seeing this billboard almost everyday.

We flew out for a four day house hunting extravaganza. Troy was more than thrilled, shouting every minute, "Airplane, Airplane!" He was also sick the entire time we were there. When you are looking at at least 10 houses a day, having a sick 2 year-old is not a good thing. We did find a house, but we are still waiting on the outcome from the inspections. Needless to say, it was a long four days, and I flew home sick with what Troy had. This led to another stay in the ER for hydration. I think the nurses know me by name now.

Easter In Philadelphia

In the almost 6 years we have lived in Pittsburgh, we had never been to Philadelphia. It is located in the same state, but works out to be a farther drive than cities such as Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. So, we decided to make a quick weekend of it over Easter.

There was a King Tut exhibit showing at the Franklin Institute, and with a glowing recommendation from friends, we decided to go. The only thing Matt wanted to see was the Rocky statue. We were surprised to find Rocky at the bottom of the stairs located at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, not at the top. Therefore, Matt did not get to do his rendition of Sylvestor Stallone running up the stairs from the movie.

Troy's favorite parts were visiting the Train Factory inside the Franklin Institute. He was able to ride the the large train and hear the train sounds.
He also tried out for the part of King Tut. Troy did not understand, however, that even at the youthful age of 9, King Tut was still older than him when he began his rule. King Tut also never had a pacifier, or at least they did not have one on display.

Being pregnant, I enjoyed my Easter breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel. Who knew scrambled eggs could taste so good.

Welcome to our blog...

I was trying to figure out how to stay in touch with everyone and not have to send a million and one emails with pictures and updates of what we are up to. My answer came when my friend, Cassie, started up a blog for her family. So, the credit goes to her.

The Mehlbrech's are going through some big changes at the moment. You will see soon with all of the updates. Check in now and again when you get a chance...
