Big Brother Troy

I get a kick out of watching Troy with Emma. He has been a very good big brother as of late. He will walk up to Emma and try to put the nuk back in her mouth. He walked up to her today and said, "Don't cry baby!" He constantly wants to hold her, and loves playing with her small hands and feet. He even tried to give her a high five.
On the other hand, he does try to take advantage of the situation when I am feeding her and unable to attend to his every whim. Although, I think that just goes with being two years-old. All in all, he has been a very good big brother.

Troy's Island of Sodor

Troy's trains are what occupies his time most days. Each day it seems we have a new track. He even likes to play with his trains while watching his Thomas DVDs and reinact the 5 minute show. I just wanted to show you Troy at work on his trains.

Troy's 2nd Birthday Party

I know I am a little late in putting this up, but I wanted those who could not make it, or were too far away, to see the photos.

We celebrated Troy's 2nd birthday early, due to the possibility of Emma coming early. As it turns out, this was a really good idea. We held the party on July 1st, at the Recreation Park in Monroe, Wisconsin, where Matt used to life guard during high school and college.

A lot of family and friends attended, including Troy's Great Grandparents, Jack and Lois Vondra and Great Grandma Bauman. The weather was great and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

As you can tell by the pictures, the theme was Thomas the Train.

We also had a cake for Matt's 29th birthday. Matt had no idea, and was a little surprised when he saw his 1st grade photo on his cake. Happy Birthday to my boys!!

Emma - 3 Weeks

Emma had some family come to visit her the last few weeks. Grandma Mehlbrech came to help out for a week when she was born. She was a big help.

Great Uncle Mike and Great Aunt Gloria came to visit.

Grandma and Grandpa Smythe Eagle came to visit as well for a long weekend. They were a big help putting in the new trim for the kids rooms as well as painting and mudding. Having them here allowed Matt and I to go out for our first dinner date in a long time.
