If you see this woman, wish her a "Happy 90th Birthday!" We drove to Monroe the weekend of January 24th to attend a luncheon on behalf of my grandmother. My mother and younger brother were already down there, and my father even made an appearance. Unfortunately, I never got a photo of him as proof that he stepped foot in Monroe, but nevertheless, he was there. We had a great lunch at St. John's Church and met up with family. Some of them I had not seen in a long time, so it was good to catch up.
We finished our whirlwind tour in Deerfield, where we stopped by Pat and Helene's house for an amazing breakfast. Helene always puts on a spread and she did not disappoint. Thank you, Pat and Helene!
After that, it was back to Minnesota and another trip to the ER for Emma's ears. Is three ear infections in three weeks a record of some kind? Either way...sitting around in the ER for the second week in a row was not my cup of tea, but at least they took care of us quickly.
