Well, we did it! Saturday, July 21, 2007, we added another Mehlbrech to the family. Emma Constance Mehlbrech entered the world at 10:46 a.m. CST. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches. She looks a lot like her older brother did when he was born, but she has more dark hair.
We are home now and trying to get Troy adjusted to having a baby sister. Matt and I are also trying to adjust to having another baby in the house.
Just some words of advice for those who are due to have a baby surrounding the release date of a widely popular book - Don't let them have it until you leave the hospital!
Enjoy the pics on the slide show!
Emma is on her way!!
I just wanted to post this before we head to the hospital. After a couple of ultrasounds this week, the doctor's decided that I should be induced. My amniotic fluid is low, so they wanted to make sure everything would be okay with the baby. I am over 38 weeks, so Emma will most likely be making her way into the world tomorrow morning. We will let you know more details when we deliver!
It did not take long....
It was a Sunday, July 15th in fact, that Troy went to his first Minnesota Twins baseball game. The event was exactly one month from the date we left Pittsburgh. As you can tell, we already bought some of the hometown gear. We were fortunate to meet up with Matt's cousin, Beau, and his wife Callie for the game. We lasted almost 7 innings, but it was just too long in the end. A little unfortunate, because the Twins ended up pulling out a win in the ninth inning. Oh well....
Troy's Christmas Stocking
For all of you Doubting Thomases out there...

I started Troy's Christmas stocking almost two years ago. It has taken me a long time, I admit, but here is the finished product. Please do not ask when I am going to start the next stocking.

The Move!
We have been in the new house for a few weeks now, and everything is starting to come together. The move itself took about a week for us to get here and for everything to come together. Three weeks, if you count the time it took for us to finally get our pots and pans. Three words for movers, "CHECK THE STOVE!" We luckily found out early that the movers forgot to pack our pots and pans that were stored in the drawer below the stove. Other than missing pots and pans, we received two broken lamps. The rest of the items seem to have arrived in good order.
A big thank you to Matt's sister, Becky, who came up the first weekend to help us unpack and organize a lot of our things. Another big thank you to Matt's parents, who came up to help us in anyway, so we put them to work on the kid's rooms. They seemed very enthusiastic when we put a paint brush in their hands and had them painting walls with colors such as, "Princess Pink" and "Sorcerer's Hat Blue!" I will post the final product once the rooms are done. Right now, just imagine a room that has not been painted since it was built 9 years ago, and in one weekend was given such an uplift of color!
Troy and I also started going to some toddler events at the Mall of America and a great place called, "Jungle Jamboree!" We are trying to also join some of the events from my new Stay at Home Mum's Group, but have not had a chance yet, with the move, and with our week away to Wisconsin. We are going to try harder this week, since the baby will be here before we know it!
